This Puppy Lived in Truck Tires After Someone Abandoned Her – Now She’s Learning What a Real Home Is Like

The Streetdog Foundation in Memphis, Tennessee recently rescued a special little puppy, Panama, named after the place she was found on Panama Street. The puppy, who was completely alone in the world, had found comfort in a big truck tire. She was left there with a small pink blanket, which showed that she most likely had had a guardian before. It’s likely the pup stayed in the tire because she could hide inside and feel protected from the outside world. Fortunately, Panama was saved from living in the streets and is now in good hands.

When Panama was spotted, she gave a big adorable smile to the people who found her. The woman who was determined to rescue the puppy came back looking for her at night and found Panama sleeping on her pink blanket on the side of the road …

The small pup was understandably nervous about her rescuer and attempted to hide in the tires that had been her home. Luckily, Panama eventually let the rescuer scoop her up. The poor pup was filled with worms and covered in mange, which required quick medical help.

At the vet, it was confirmed that Panama was 12 weeks old, and she was started on her medication to treat the worms and mange. She also got her first round of puppy shots.

According to the vet, she might be a Terrier mix and should be around 25 pounds when she is fully grown.

Baby Panama is safe and sound in a foster home where she can play with other dogs, children, and adults, which she absolutely loves. If everything goes according to plan, her fur will start growing back in after some time on the treatment, and she will be ready to start looking for her forever home soon!
