Ever watch your dog sleeping and wonder what kind of doggy adventures they’re dreaming about as they lay peacefully on that freshly folded stack of laundry or right smack in the middle of your bed? Us too! With dogs as fun loving and playful as ours, there’s probably no limit to the things they do in their doggy dreams. Man, would we love to see that.

Fortunately, we can come close thanks to the work of Santa Monica, California photographer, actress and model Sara Rehnmark and her lovable Pharaoh Hound, Rufus (Ruf, for short). Starring in several comedic sketches for “The Tonight Show,” “Late Night With Conan O’Brien” and “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” Rehnmark has quite the comedic know-how to make Rufus’ dreamscapes genius.

Rehnmark posts photos of her beloved Rufus on her site Raising the Ruf, depicting the hound in all kinds of wild scenarios as he naps peacefully through the entire shoot.

By placing props, set pieces and even small amounts of costuming onto her reposing rascal, the viewer is able to get a glimpse of Rufus engaging in all kinds of adventures. True, he’s asleep for them, but we can imagine that he’d be excited to do these things if he was conscious.

“I think my dog is hilarious. He’s been a goofball ever since he was a puppy,” Rehnmark says on her site of her adorable muse. “I take pictures and videos of Rufus because he CRACKS me up and makes me smile!”

He makes us smile too! If his dreams are nearly as creative as these pictures, Rufus must be one fun-loving pup!

Nailed it.

Nothing like some morning joe in this incredibly soft, blue chair.

There’s no more popular gnome attraction than Rufus Mountain Ski Resort.

What’s the sale amount on something that’s priceless?

C’mon Ruf, you seemed like you were kind of asleep on that last hurdle.

Double, double, toil and snuggle.

Regular physical activity is an important part of a healthy lifestyle … lots of sleep is too.

Aha! I’ve discovered the carpet!

We don’t know about you, but we’d camp out with Rufus any day.

Does dreaming of cleaning the house constitute a nightmare? We sorta think so.

And now for my next trick, I will continue to nap while a photo shoot happens all around me.

Life’s a beach, especially when you create one in your living room.

Up, up and away!

Being a globetrotting hound is exhausting!

You know the old saying, “When a dog falls asleep sitting up like a person, put your high tops on him and have him read ‘The Wizard of Oz.’”

Thank goodness this is just a dream, were it real, Rufus would be a terrifyingly huge deer.
