Illness and disease affect humans and animals alike, and sadly, it is not always a winning fight. However, one’s spirit and determination can still make them victorious even in a losing battle. So is the case with Miller, a strong-willed Doberman Pinscher who was diagnosed with cancer, but is showing the world how to live life by checking off activities on his bucket list.
This beautiful Doberman has been in the care of Trio Animal Foundation (TAF), a Chicago-based non-profit dedicated to providing care for terminally ill dogs and other homeless animals with medical conditions. They have helped Miller accomplish tasks on his bucket list, including receiving the honorary title of a police dog for the Chicago Police Department!

And please share this sweet story with your family and friends!

What a great thing to care for terminally ill animals. I have taken in a few who did not last long and was only happy they go to die in a home. It sounds like these people do a wonderful job of caring for them though. I have never really looked for an picked a dog but I have thought of taking very old dogs just so they can have a home. Still I have two now and at 7 and 10 they aren\’t going anywhere tor a while. I salute you Officer Miller.
