Stray Dog Was Eating Stones Out of Desperation, Faces Adoption Disappointment

Casper, a stray dog who once resorted to eating stones on a beach to survive, has faced more hardship than most. After being found starving and abandoned, he underwent life-saving surgery to remove the stones from his stomach. Despite his resilience, Casper’s struggles continued after being adopted, only to be returned due to conflicts with another pet.

Casper has now been with RSPCA Brighton for over 170 days. Though staff and volunteers work tirelessly to keep his spirits up with day trips and playdates, the long wait for a forever home has taken its toll on his mood. Still, the team remains hopeful that someone will come along and offer Casper the love and stability he deserves.
