It sometimes happens that adopted dogs find themselves once more in the shelters they were just taken out of. The reasons for this are many – a bad fit for the family, a tougher than anticipated character, a really hasty and irresponsible decision about adoption… But in case of Helena, a dog recently returned to Fulton County Animal Services in Atlanta, Georgia, the reason was really something else. Helena was brought back to the shelter because … she was literally too good of a dog.

Helena was clearly very unlucky to be picked up by people who could not deal with her amazing character and her determination to give one hundred percent of her heart to her new family. But, being the first class cuddle aficionado that she is, this sweet pup is sure to find a fantastic home soon – and a guardian as excited to spend time with her as she will be to spend time with them!

It\’s possibly not the full story, maybe she suffered separation anxiety and was wrecking the home if they left her. Good luck to the Velvet Hippo!
She would be perfect for the right person/people! What a teddy bear!
