Lambie Baa Baa (probably the cutest name ever for a lamb, let’s be honest) is an orphaned lamb who didn’t end up on someone’s plate thanks to a kind person who saved him. Instead, the little one found his way to Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary, in Australia.
Even with the rough start to his life, Lambie Baa Baaa is settling in well to life at Edgar’s Mision. The sanctuary says that he loves to nibble of their chins, can’t get enough of drinking milk out of a bottle and is enjoying a warm, comfortable life indoors while he recovers.
This little lamb also made a new friend in Ruby the dog. Ruby is the official (and most adorable) Vet Nurse at Edgar’s Mission. This loving pooch is responsible for welcoming new arrivals with a warm wet nose and offering comfort. Lambie Baa Baaa and Ruby love to snuggle up together! The below photo is insanely cute, don’t say we didn’t warn you…
Although sheep and lambs are not typically raised under the same intensive conditions that other farm animals suffer through, lamb meat is popular with backyard farming. Most of the lambs in this industry are killed before they even reach one year old and sometimes even sooner. What many people don’t realize is that cows, chickens, sheep, pigs, and goats are not, in fact, “stupid” animals who don’t care about their fate. To the contrary, these animals are highly intelligent and experience emotions in a very similar way to humans. Knowing this, it seems absurd that we would continue to subject them to such pain and suffering, while dogs and cats share our homes.
Please help us educate the public about the thousands of less fortunate animals by sharing this post with your friends and family. Because as the Edgar’s Mission motto says, “If we could live happy and healthy lives without harming others … why wouldn’t we?”

This is why I refuse to eat "lamb" even though people try to assure me that it\’s really older sheep that\’s being offered. I don\’t care – I can\’t bring myself to eat lamb no matter what others say. Such a precious baby and so glad it was saved by this wonderful rescue organization.
This photo really tugs at my heart. Such beautiful loving animals. That lamb is so adorable and cute. Animals are the best ever! So much kinder, sweeter, and loving, than humans. I just love happy endings. Best of luck to these precious babies.
Yes, it is time to start eating cats and dogs too.
