This Just Might be the Happiest Video of Farm Animals Ever, Because of One Simple Reason

Every year, billions of farm animals across the world are subjected to horrible lives in the animal agriculture industry. Raised in factory farms, these animals are crowded on top of one another and forced to endure filthy conditions. Most will never get to enjoy the simple luxuries of seeing sunlight or having enough space to turn around. All they will know for the duration of their short lives is fear, pain and stress. This is certainly a fate worse than hell.

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Rather than seeing these animals as “food” and “commodities,” we could welcome them into our circle of compassion, and see them instead as individuals. This is the message that Edgar’s Mission Farm Sanctuary hopes to share with the world.

All of the adorable farm animals featured in this video have been saved from deplorable lives on factory farms and are now free to be themselves. If you can’t tell, this simple freedom makes the animals pretty happy. These animals will never be exploited, abused or afraid, all because of the kind people who dared to see them as someones, not somethings.

We dare you to watch this video and not smile until your cheeks hurt! As the video says, “If we could live happy and healthy lives without harming others, why wouldn’t we?”
