Most of us know what “Fro-Yo,” means but have you ever heard of “Fro-No?” When you learn that Red Mango just released two dairy-free frozen yogurt flavors, it makes perfect sense! The exciting new flavors, Caramelized Pineapple and Blood Orange, are here just in time for the heat of the summer and are being offered at all 300 locations throughout the U.S. and Mexico.

This latest addition of dairy-free options is a smart move for Red Mango, considering the rising number of Americans who are choosing to skip dairy for health, environmental, or animal-welfare reasons. Fro-no is also gluten free and contains no artificial sweeteners, preservatives, colors, or flavors.

How yummy do these new “fro-no” flavors sound?!

Red Mango joins a number of companies who have been taking heed and fulfilling the market for dairy-free treats. Recently, another frozen yogurt giant, Sweet Frog, added six non-dairy flavors of Dole Whip to its 340 locations. In the packaged ice cream space, Talenti, Ben & Jerry’s, Breyers, and most recently Haagen Dazs have all added vegan pints to their offerings. Really, the decision to do so comes as no surprise considering the dairy-free dessert market is now worth over $200 million as more consumers explore almond, coconut, and other alternatives. Coconut milk, and almond milk, have seen enormous growth the last couple years and the demand hasn’t slowed down at all. Sales of almond milk grew by 7.8 percent in 2015 and by 250 percent in the last five years while dairy milk sales have dropped by over seven percent.

Looks like people across the U.S. are still screaming for ice cream – they just want it without the cow’s milk, thank you.
