Petition: Tell Japan to Raise its National Age of Consent

A new proposal in Japan could change the sexual offense and age of consent laws for the better. Currently, the age of consent in Japan is 13 years old but the proposal would raise the age to 16. Also, sexual assault has been notoriously very difficult to prove in Japan but the new law would include wording that would make it easier to get a conviction. Please sign this petition to urge the Japanese government to vote yes on this proposal!
