Several lawmakers in Iowa have introduced a new labor bill that would threaten the safety of 14-17-year-olds across the state. The bill would not hold companies liable for kids who are injured on the job, it would allow children to work in the most hazardous industries, and it would expand the number of hours children are allowed to work. The labor movement fought for years to ensure children wouldn’t be exploited in the workforce and we can’t allow a few lawmakers and some powerful businesses to tear that all down. Please sign this petition to urge lawmakers in Iowa to vote no on Senate File 167!
