A cat named Bunny was brought to a veterinary clinic in Lexington Kentucky after surviving alleged and extreme abuse. She was missing the tips of both ears, with bite marks indicating they were chewed off. Veterinarians also confirmed she had two broken legs and heartbreakingly she was pregnant. These injuries point to intentional cruelty, not neglect or accident.
Thanks to urgent veterinary care, Bunny is expected to recover, though her healing will take time. Rescuers say she remains gentle and trusting, which makes the violence she endured even harder to process. Just because Bunny survived does not mean justice has been served. The man accused of abusing her has allegedly been linked to other cases involving cats who were strangled or suffocated, according to the rescue involved.
This pattern cannot be ignored. We are demanding prosecutors take this seriously, including a lifetime ban on animal ownership and mandatory mental health counseling. Sign the petition now. Sign the petition now to protect animals like Bunny.
