It’s 2022, and bestiality is still not banned in some states in the US. How is this possible? Bestiality is still completely legal in New Mexico and West Virginia. Neither state has a law that prohibits it, but it is finally time for a ban!

New Mexico and West Virginia are willingly turning their backs on animals and letting people get away with some of the most violating and violent forms of animal abuse. These animals don’t have a voice, and they need someone to speak up for them. Animals are sentient beings who can feel pain and fear, and being voiceless makes them an easy target for abusers.
Sexual abuse of animals is even linked to domestic violence, child abuse, and other criminal behavior, according to criminologist M. Jenny Edwards, the petition reported. There is no reason that these states should not criminalize bestiality.
