A hilarious little chihuahua named Lord Herald went viral after his shelter posted a description of the dog that was quite honest.
The nonprofit One More Dog Rescue posted a description of the pup saying that he’s the most adoptable dog on the planet.
“But with all the comments,” Kelly Dietrich, co-founder of the national nonprofit One More Dog Rescue, told Kennedy News, “he probably is.”
The small black toothless chihuahua was brought into a Chicago shelter to be put down when he was saved and given a second chance by One More Dog Rescue. Last month, the shelter decided to post a satirical biography of the 10-year-old pup who suffers from a severe heart murmur and persistent cough.
“We’ve done it. We have found him. THE most adoptable dog on the planet,” the shelter wrote. “Oh and he’s a big biter. Loves to bite. Don’t worry though the guy has zero teeth so instead it’s just like a sad gummy kiss.”
“No, we’re not going to euthanize him because of behavior,” the shelter assured. “He is decrepit and harmless. We feel confident he can bring someone to peak TikTok fame.”
The post went viral and the shelter said they received at least 50 adoption applications within the first week and continue to get messages about Lord Herald.
Lord Herald’s adoption offers are being reviewed while he stays in a foster home for a few months. The shelter is hoping to find him a quiet home.
“There’s somebody out there who he’ll be perfect for. We just have to find them,” Dietrich said.
