Golden Retriever Imitates Human Following Surgery

Golden retriever with underbite

While some studies have shown that dogs are capable of imitating their humans, a recent TikTok video left people wondering whether one Golden Retriever was sympathizing with or mocking their person. The funny video features a Golden Retriever named Charlie and his human, who recently had a tooth implant.

In the video, the Golden Retriever can be seen sitting with his human, who has white gauze in her mouth. The pup looks at the camera, showing an underbite. Looking at other videos, it is clear that the Golden Retriever’s underbite is a new development. The text overlay on the video reads, “Got tooth implant today I am not sure if he feel bad or making fun of me.”

Viewers were divided. Some felt that Charlie was trying to be sympathetic by copying his human. Others were sure that the Golden Retriever was mocking her. Either way, the video quickly went viral. Currently, it has received over 528,000 likes on TikTok.
