Frankie, a three-month-old Pit Bull/Mastiff mix, was found abandoned on the side of the road in Tracy, California. Disturbingly, there was something more to the rescue of the young dog – he was found with duct tape wrapped around his muzzle and his front paws. On top of that, he had a large laceration on his head as well as on his back leg. The cruelty that was inflicted on this sweet puppy is heartbreaking – but now, thanks to City of Tracy Animal Services, Frankie is finally safe, he is receiving medical treatment, and waiting for his new life to start.

The shelter taking care of little Frankie is looking for a rescue group to take the pup under its wing while he goes through his recovery process and to find him the perfect forever home once he is ready.
Update 9/20/20: Towards the end of 2017, Frankie found his forever home! His new family renamed in Ryat. He loves his doggie brother, Axle, and going on adventures!
