How is This Allowed?! Video Shows Cows Being Dumped Back Into a Truck After Highway Accident

When it comes to the animal agriculture industry, many of us find it easier to turn a blind eye and assume that farmers at least treat the animals in their possession with a sliver of respect. Unfortunately, as the disturbing video above showcases, the way farm animals are typically treated is anything but humane.

Just look at what happened when a cattle truck crashed and flipped over on a highway in Utah. Instead of trying to usher the animals back into the truck with a degree of compassion, the workers decide the best solution is to scoop the cows up…using a dump truck. Still completely conscious, the cows were picked up brutishly and then dumped back into the truck. Even the highway patrol officer at the scene admitted that the scene was “nothing short of ugly.”

Considering that cows are viewed as nothing more than commodities on factory farms, this scene, unfortunately, is not that surprising. However, it is imperative that we fully take into account what is happening in this video, and remember that this type of cruelty happens all the time in the world of animal agriculture. Whether it happens in broad daylight, or behind closed doors, we all have to ask ourselves if this is something we truly want to Support.
