Authorities in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, recently uncovered a disturbing scene, leading to the rescue of numerous animals and the arrest of an individual allegedly involved in organizing a large-scale cockfighting operation. Acting on an anonymous tip, law enforcement and animal welfare workers descended upon a property in Doylestown, where they discovered a clandestine cockfighting ring operating within the confines of a two-car garage. Shockingly, approximately 25 individuals were present, witnessing two roosters pitted against each other in a fight to the death.

The arrest of 21-year-old Cesar Cordova-Morales marked a significant development in the investigation. Cordova-Morales was allegedly found in possession of a satchel containing a disturbing array of cockfighting paraphernalia, including steroids, spurs, and cutting instruments commonly used to enhance the birds’ aggression and inflict fatal injuries during fights. He faces serious charges and is currently detained at a Bucks County jail on a $50,000 bail.
The rescue operation conducted by animal welfare workers revealed a grim reality for the birds involved. Over 40 roosters, hens, and pullets were discovered cramped in cages and small boxes scattered throughout the garage, with two additional birds found confined inside a parked car on the property. Tragically, authorities also uncovered the remains of four roosters discarded in a barrel behind the garage, bearing evidence of the brutality they endured in the name of entertainment.
