Beyond Meat is taking over! Just recently the plant-based food company Beyond Meat announced that their Beyond Burger will now be served at all eight locations of the meat-heavy burger menu Chicago-based chain Epic Burger. If that wasn’t enough, you can now enjoy the tasty burger while catching the latest flick at the movie theater. The Beyond Burger is now even available in the meat capital of the world: Hong Kong!
And we have even more exciting news for all of you burger fans! The Beyond Burger will begin to roll out in more than 600 select Kroger-owned stores across 13 states, Beyond Meat stated on their blog. The juicy burger will be available in the meat case within four of Kroger’s key banners: Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Kroger, and Ralphs. Wow! This means that healthier, plant-based burgers that are better for animals and the planet are now more accessible than ever!
If you’ve never heard of the Beyond Burger before, the vegan burger has been widely lauded not only for its spot-on meaty and juicy flavor and texture profile but because it actually “bleeds” beet blood when you make it. Additionally, each Beyond Burger patty boasts an impressive 20 grams of plant-based pea protein per patty, not to mention it contains no soy, gluten, or GMOs.
We are living in a time where the food space is rapidly evolving. More people than ever are reducing their meat consumption and opting for plant-based options instead. The Beyond Burger is just one of the new innovations in the plant-based food space that is helping those who still crave the taste and texture of meat to cut back. Not only is Beyond Meat seeking to change the way Americans eat, they have their sights set on what may very well be a global food revolution.
Because of burger’s immense popularity, Beyond Meat recommends you call your local grocery store ahead of time to make sure the burgers are in stock (or hey, if they don’t stock it at all, suggest that they should!). For a full list of participating cities, check out Beyond Meat’s website.
We are so glad to see more plant-based options making their way nationwide, showing yet again that the future of food is indeed plant-based. To learn more about rising trends in the plant-based protein space, check out One Green Planet’s Future of Food!
