Beyoncé announced a coronavirus relief plan through her BeyGOOD Foundation on April 23. The global superstar’s efforts will focus on those most affected by the coronavirus.

Plans for relief are detailed on her website, “Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD recognizes the immense mental and personal health burdens being placed on essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. In our major cities, African-Americans comprise a disproportionate number of workers in these indispensable occupations, and they will need mental health support and personal wellness care, including testing and medical services, food supplies and food deliveries, both during and after the crisis.”

BeyGOOD is partnering with Twitter and Square founder Jack Dorsey to commit $6 million to fund mental health and wellness services to provide support on the ground in cities like New York, Detroit, New Orleans and Houston, Beyoncé’s native city.

BeyGOOD reiterated the impact that coronavirus is having on communities of color and also pledged donations to organizations including Bread of Life, United Memorial Medical Center, Dia De La Mujer Latina, No Kid Hungry, Matthew 25: Ministries and others. These organizations will help provide food, water, basic necessities, personal hygiene and face masks.

Beyoncé joins celebrities including Jack Dorsey, Rachael Ray,  Jeff Bezos, Leonardo Dicaprio and others to help provide relief to those affected by coronavirus.
