Do you remember being a kid and wanting a certain toy more than anything in your life? Maybe it was a cool gadget all your classmates had, or maybe it was the latest cute plush animal. Or, perhaps, it was a tire tethered to a tree! No, that wasn’t the object of you affection? Well, maybe that’s just Navaan the baby elephant in this video…
Try as he might, Navaan, an Asian elephant living at Elephant Nature Park, just can’t seem to figure out how to free his precious tire ring from its tether. First, he gives using brute strength a try by sticking his trunk through the tire and pulling with all his might. Ever the problem-solver, he realizes that method just isn’t working, so he tries sitting on it. You can see that he considers chewing through the rope to set the tire free — but darn that pesky trunk, getting in the way at the most inconvenient times!
Meanwhile, mom, busy scratching a tree trunk, takes pause to go check in on Navaan, who’s finally ready to give up and move on. Tomorrow’s another day!
