Famed Vegan Restaurant, Avant Garden, to Open New Location in Brooklyn!

Vegan fine dining restaurant Avant Garden is opening a SECOND LOCATION! The flagship location opened in the East Village in 2015 by restaurateur Ravi DeRossi and now the second location will be in the hip New York City neighborhood of Williamsburg. Avant Garden is set to open this summer and will feature a menu by acclaimed chef Tony Mongeluzzi who heads the kitchen of Avant Garden’s Manhattan flagship location. We’re already sold!

The menu for the Williamsburg location will also offer the same vegan fine dining as the East Village location, Eater New York reports. The new restaurant will have some dishes that take on a twist on the Williamsburg area. 

Avant Garden Williamsburg will also offer cocktails and a natural wine list, overseen by OTB’s owner and beverage director Alla Lapushchik.

Ravi DeRossi owns a total of 15 cocktail bars and restaurants in the Big Apple and recently made all of his meat and cheese-heavy restaurant menus plant-based!

We are sure Avant Garden’s forthcoming Williamsburg location will be a huge hit! With plant-based dining taking center stage in restaurants, thanks to creative visionaries such as Ravi, more and more people are leaving meat off of their plates. In fact, demand for plant-based food is up by 140 percent! Ravi has noted that food sales in his restaurants doubled after he made their menus vegan – sounds like a solid tip for anyone looking to boost their restaurant business!
