The U.S. government has reportedly paid $2 million to access Graphite, a powerful spyware tool developed by Israeli company Paragon Solutions. This cyber-weapon allows agencies like ICE to secretly hack civilians’ phones—reading messages, tracking locations, and even turning on microphones and cameras without physical access to the device.
This invasive technology has allegedly already been misused abroad, with reports of governments targeting journalists and activists. Now, ICE has been granted access—an agency long criticized for civil rights violations. The risks extend beyond individuals: since the spyware is foreign-made, there’s no guarantee sensitive data won’t be sold to hostile governments.
Congress must act now to protect privacy and prevent mass surveillance. Sign the petition now and demand lawmakers ban the use of spyware against civilians before it escalates further.
