26 July 2019, Paris, France: Bazar Hotel de Ville department store, famous shopping mall

Fast-fashion giant Shein plans to open a physical store inside the legendary BHV Marais on November 1, 2025 — a move Parisians are fiercely opposing. Locals, employees, and politicians alike are standing up against a company allegedly known for labor exploitation, excessive Pollution, and cheap mass production that undermines real fashion.

Shein’s record speaks for itself: accusations of child labor, 75-hour work weeks, and rock-bottom wages that fuel its ultra-fast, ultra-wasteful business model. In 2023, it was named one of the fashion industry’s biggest polluters — and emissions have only grown since. Now, workers at BHV Marais have walked out, demanding that Paris remain a global symbol of ethical and sustainable style.

Tell CEO Chris Xu: Shein doesn’t belong in Paris’ most historic department store. Sign the petition now to keep fashion’s future clean and fair.
