Taraji P. Henson is another major celebrity to have gone plant-based recently. She did so after experiencing a health scare.
Taraji P. Henson recalled always having stomach problems that caused her to vomit uncontrollably. This led her to many doctors who often worsened the use.
Only after visiting a holistic doctor and taking a special breath test was Henson diagnosed with small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.
The holistic doctor put her on a plant-based diet and told her to eat probiotic and fermented foods. So that the gut flora could be restored and her condition made better.
Henson did admit to occasionally cheating on her plant-based diet in order to eat a home-cooked meal from her grandmother. But other than that she is entirely plant-based and believes that that is what helped heal her.
She is not the only celebrity to turn to a plant-based diet because of health issues. As many others have talked openly about their positive experiences as well.
There are so many amazing health benefits linked to eating a plant-based diet. Not only is it better for the planet and for the animals, but it is also better for your health.
Hopefully, having celebrities like Henson share her experiences can spread more awareness about the benefits of eating a plant-based diet.
