After Bimul’s owners realized that he had a strange disease that made it difficult for him to walk normally, they abandoned him outside. Luckily, this animal rescue happened to find Bimul on the side of the road and brought him to get help.

Bimul suffers from muscle atrophy, which is a rare genetic disease and difficult to treat. After doing some X-rays, doctors discovered that all four of his legs were affected by this disease. Because he couldn’t walk normally, this made it almost impossible for him to go out and find food and shelter on his own like other dogs.
At the animal hospital, Bimul had a hard time trusting his rescuers since his previous owners had given up on him and left him to fend for himself. Often, dogs who are abused or abandoned not only need time to heal physically but mentally as well. Animals like Bimul experience a great deal of trauma, and a lot of compassion and patience are required to gain back their trust.
Bimul underwent rehabilitation practice to teach him how to stand and walk on his own. In this video, you can follow along with Bimul’s amazing progress and watch him overcome his heartbreaking past!
