So why are pandas getting all the attention while weasels and other small mammals are overlooked? Part of the reason is that pandas are charismatic and cute, which makes them easy to relate to and generates public interest. But this isn’t fair to weasels or other small mammals, who are just as important to the health of our planet. It’s time for us to take notice of weasels and other small animals and to start valuing them as the vital components of biodiversity they truly are.
