Authorities in St. Lucie County, Florida, say a man allegedly adopted kittens from shelters only for them to suffer horrific injuries – some drowned, others with broken necks. He now faces multiple animal cruelty charges.
This is more than just a case of animal cruelty – it’s a public safety warning. Studies have shown that people who harm animals are far more likely to harm humans. When officers entered his home, they reportedly found disturbing books on ritual sacrifices and surviving animals in filthy conditions.
