Forest fire during the summer in the Sierra de Guadarrama national park, between Madrid and Segovia. Spain. Desolate landscape where green ferns sprout.

At a Texas ranch, authorities allegedly uncovered one of the worst cases of animal cruelty in years. Burn pits filled with animal bones and ashes, barrels of half-burned dogs, and trash bags stuffed with corpses were found across the property. Nearly 30 emaciated, dehydrated dogs suffered in the blistering heat without food, water, or care. Three were so sick they had to be euthanized.

Records suggest the ranch owner knowingly withheld care and even mocked the suffering, according to text messages revealed in the investigation. Every surviving dog has now been seized, but this horrific case highlights the urgent need for intervention.

Sign the petition now to demand Texas authorities impose mandatory mental health treatment for the ranch owner and a lifetime ban on animal ownership. Protect animals from further cruelty—sign the petition now.
