Bulgaria has shown real progress by banning fur farming, closing its last mink farm in January 2025. That facility alone bred up to 129,000 mink each year for slaughter. Now, no more animals will suffer in filthy cages or die in gas chambers for fashion.

Fur farming is inherently cruel. Animals are confined to tiny, filthy cages, often injured or left beside dead companions. Disturbing footage has allegedly shown mink self-harming from extreme distress before being killed for their fur. This cruelty has no place in modern society.

The European Union must follow Bulgaria’s lead and ban fur farming entirely. Animals should not be exploited for clothing when humane alternatives already exist. Sign the petition now to demand a continent-wide ban on fur farming and ensure this industry ends for good.
