Petition: Justice for Blinded Swan Shot With Steel Ball in Cambridge

Someone in Cambridge, UK allegedly used a catapult to fire a steel ball at a swan’s head—permanently blinding the male who was raising cygnets with his mate. The Waterfowl Sanctuary says the bird was likely approaching for food when it was brutally attacked at close range. The 10mm steel ball lodged in his skull, and surgery could make things worse. This is not the first attack on swans in the area. It must stop.

Swans co-parent, so rescuers moved the whole family together. But this father swan will never return to the wild. The trauma, pain, and irreversible damage caused to an innocent animal demand action. We need local authorities to urgently investigate and hold whoever did this accountable.
