Miniature Poodle Goes Viral on TikTok for “Little Hops”

mini poodle

In a TikTok video that has taken social media by storm, Onyx, a vibrant 1-year-old mini poodle, could barely contain his excitement upon arriving outside the home of his grandparents. The video, posted by Onyx’s human under the handle notshei, captured the pure and innocent joy of a dog’s reunion with loved ones.

The footage showcased Onyx bouncing along the hallway, eagerly headed toward the apartment where his grandparents reside. In the accompanying caption, his human expressed, “He loves going to my parents,” as Onyx exhibited an unmistakable spring in his step as they approached the front door. The video resonated with dog lovers, with the owner remarking, “Dogs are so pure and innocent. We really don’t deserve them.”

The bond between dogs and their human companions is indeed remarkable. A 2015 study published in the academic journal Science revealed that gazing into the eyes of their owners triggers a surge in oxytocin, often referred to as the “love hormone.” While we can’t be certain if this adorable interaction generated such a boost for Onyx, the video resonated with millions of viewers, tugging at their heartstrings.

In the clip, Onyx’s enthusiasm was amazing as he bounded over to the front door, playfully scratching at it, and even sniffing underneath as if he could sense the presence of friends on the other side. When the door finally swung open, he was greeted by his furry canine companion, setting the stage for hours of shared fun.

The heartwarming video has taken the internet by storm, amassing over 3 million views and more than 375,000 likes.
