Lots of things can derail a golf tournament. After all, it is the great outdoors! However, in Kenya a pair of wild giraffes decided to amble onto the green, pausing the game. The giraffes decided to wander onto the 18th fairway during a tournament, pausing the game.
In a video of the event, a pair of giraffes can be seen wandering around the green during the Magic Kenya Ladies Open tournament. The venue where the golf tournament was held is also a wildlife rescue, explaining the giraffes’ presence. Called Vipingo Ridge, the rescue has been working to rescue animals for fifteen years. The animals at the sanctuary have been rescued from human-wildlife conflict and drought.
