TikTok Goes Viral After French Bulldog Narrowly Avoids Death

A French bulldog has become an internet sensation after a heart-stopping incident that was captured on video and shared on TikTok. The clip, posted by user @sohslick, has gone viral with 7.6 million views and shows a dramatic moment of the dog’s narrow escape on June 20.

In the footage, the dog owner is seen walking across the driveway of a home when his dog, named Boca, darts past him and onto the street. It appears that Boca is heading toward another dog on the opposite side of the road. However, as the dog runs under a passing car, it momentarily disappears from view before reappearing unharmed and swiftly making its way back to the house.

The video has captivated viewers worldwide, who have been relieved to learn that Boca survived the incident. In a subsequent video, the dog is shown happily running around inside the house, proving that it came out of the ordeal without serious injuries.

While Boca’s story has a fortunate ending, the same cannot be said for all dogs involved in similar incidents. A study published in the peer-reviewed journal Vet Record in February 2017 revealed that out of 140 dogs analyzed for road traffic accident (RTA) injuries, the survival rate was 83.2 percent. The study also highlighted that younger dogs were more prone to lung contusions and limb fractures, while larger canines tended to experience more limb fractures. Smaller and older dogs were found to be at a higher risk of pelvic fractures and sacroiliac luxation.

In subsequent videos shared by the original poster, the dog owner can be heard expressing his concern and relief over Boca’s survival.
