Nasa’s journey was shared by Mac’s Mission on their Facebook page, sparking hope that he will soon find a forever family to give him the love he deserves. This special senior dog, who is both vision- and hearing-impaired, was surrendered to a shelter that doesn’t expect him to live much longer. Despite the prognosis, the shelter’s priority is ensuring that Nasa spends his remaining time surrounded by warmth and care.
Since Mac’s Mission shared Nasa’s story on August 26, there has been interest in adopting him. A representative from the organization expressed optimism, sharing that they hope to have an adoption update for him soon. Nasa’s post has resonated with many, garnering over 1,800 likes and 400 comments.
Sadly, Nasa’s situation isn’t unique. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), approximately 6.3 million pets enter U.S. shelters each year—an average of over 17,000 animals every day. Many of these pets, like Nasa, need compassionate families willing to offer them a safe and loving home.
