This couple was enjoying their long road trip when they suddenly saw a dog get hit by a car going 75 mph down a mountain highway outside Knoxville.
“When we went back to pick her up, she was barely alive. But she was alive! It was a miracle she made it through the night,” her rescuers said.

After spending a few days fighting for her life at the vet, they called her rescuers to say that she had started having seizures and was completely immobile. Although the vet told them they might want to start saying their goodbyes, they knew in their gut she was a fighter and was not ready to give up just yet. Instead of saying goodbye, they decided to have her transferred to a neurologist, where they could hopefully help her recover.

This dog is so lucky that her rescuers decided to have faith in her. “The neurologist told me what I felt in my gut was true all along. Her MRI results were beautiful,” her rescuers said. She just needed more time to heal. After spending 68 days in neurology, she was finally sent home to do just that.
Back at home, they were taking care of her around the clock, giving her sponge baths, hand feeding her, and changing her dog diaper while she devoted all of her energy to resting and healing.
“We have watched her come back to life right in front of us,” they added.

Miraculously one day, she got up and started walking all on her own! Although she had some trouble balancing with her cast, she never stopped trying and eventually got the hang of it. “She’s getting stronger every day. She’s just a girl from Knoxville whose will is to live and inspire thousands. I am the proudest mom. I don’t know what I did to deserve her, but I’ll spend the rest of my life paying it forward,” her rescuers said.
Ever since the rescue video went viral, dozen of people have come forward claiming that Knox is their dog. However, only one family came forward accurately, knowing every detail about her. To everyone’s surprise, instead of asking for her back, her original human thanked her rescuers for taking such good care of her and asked them to keep her, claiming it was meant to be!
