Adorable Alaskan Malamute Accidentally Scares His New Puppy Brother

Hugo, a 2-year-old Malamute who has taken his role as the big brother quite seriously. Brian Hanshaft, Hugo’s human from Denver, Colorado, recently introduced a new member to the family – Barry, a golden retriever puppy. While Hugo has embraced his position as the older sibling with enthusiasm, there’s one small catch – he tends to accidentally scare his little brother.

Hugo found himself adjusting to a new dynamic when Barry entered the scene. According to Hanshaft, Hugo has seamlessly transitioned into the role of protector, displaying a deep affection for his little brother.

However, despite his best intentions, Hugo seems to momentarily forget the size and age difference between himself and the young Barry. In a social media clip shared by Hanshaft on TikTok (@hugothemalamute), viewers get a glimpse of the endearing moments when Hugo’s exuberance unintentionally startles Barry, prompting the little pup to scamper away in adorable fright.

The viral video, capturing their sibling dynamic perfectly, has quickly gained popularity online. Since its upload earlier this month, the clip has garnered over 848,000 views and more than 105,000 likes, turning Hugo and Barry into internet sensations.
