Almond Flour and Black Bean Brownies [Vegan, Gluten-Free, Grain-Free]

These decadent, fudgy brownies are sure to be a crowd favorite! While they taste just as chocolaty as any other brownie, these are actually pretty unique. For one, they are made with almond flour, so they are 100 percent grain-free. Secondly, they have a boost of protein, antioxidants, and vitamins, because they are infused with black beans! Serve these straight out of the oven for a gooey treat or allow them to set in the refrigerator for a firmer bite.

Almond Flour and Black Bean Brownies [Vegan, Gluten-Free, Grain-Free]

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Himalayan pink sea salt
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, avocado oil, or grapeseed oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup vegan chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. In a food processor, process all ingredients, except chocolate chips, until smooth.
  2. Stir in the chocolate chips until well combined.
  3. Pour batter into an 8×8-inch lightly greased square baking pan
  4. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes. Serve warm for gooey brownies or refrigerate and serve later for firmer ones.
