Vegan Paleo Granola topped with berries 2

Granola is one of those foods that we’ve all bought in stores even though we know that we can make them for less money at home. Regardless of whether you care about the price or not, making granola at home has its advantages. For one, you control the ingredients, like sugar and oil, so homemade granola is often healthier than packaged versions.

Another great reason why you might want to make your own granola at home is if you have specific allergies. For example, if you are on the hunt for a grain-free and vegan granola, you may have some difficulties finding options in stores! While there are for sure some great options out there, you may find their scarcity to be even more of an incentive to make a big batch of your own and enjoy with breakfast, snacks, and dessert.

Luckily for you, we searched the Food Monster App for some absolutely delicious and energizing grain-free granolas! Let us know which one you find the most appetizing!

1. Activated Energy Mix

This Activated Energy Mix is the perfect energy boosting breakfast or snack if you need to be out the door super early in the mornings. Store-bought granolas and trail mixes are usually filled with preservatives or secret fillers. Making your own is cheaper, tastier, and more rewarding. This granola uses walnuts, pepitas, dates, coconuts, cranberries, and more to make a mix that tastes amazing, will keep you sustained, and is full of health-promoting goodness.

2. Sugar-Free Buckwheat GranolaSugar-Free Buckwheat Granola

This Sugar-Free Buckwheat Granola is wheat-free, soy-free, gluten-free, dairy-free, preservative-free, vegan, and sugar-free. It’s a free for all! Buckwheat is commonly confused for a grain because it does, after all, have “wheat” in its name. However, its really a nutrient dense seed! This granola made from sprouted buckwheat groats, sunflower seeds, coconut, protein powder and more is delicious, has the perfect amount of crunch, and is a great on-the-go snack or breakfast.

3. Paleo Granola Granola

This crunchy golden granola is the perfect way to start your morning and a great snack to keep you energized throughout the day. Paleo Granola is made from mostly different types of nuts and seeds and some coconuts and raisins thrown in for sweetness. By leaving out oats and other grains, it will leave you full for longer because the nuts and seeds used in their place are full of protein!

4. Protein-Packed Spiced Lentil Granola

This Spiced Lentil Granola takes a little more work than your typical oat granola, but it is worth it because not only is it grain-free, it’s also packed with protein! It tastes earthy, but not weirdly savory as you might expect it to be. As it bakes, it will fill your home with the sweet aroma of cinnamon. Enjoy it just as you would any granola, on soy yogurt, almond milk, or just grab some right out of the jar.

Who needs oats anyway?! We think that these grain-free granolas are delicious and nutritious enough on their own. Let us know in the comments which recipe you are most excited to try.
