Dogs have been “man’s best friend” for centuries. They provide us with unconditional love and support and even a few laughs along the way too. We shower them with toys, treats, and would do anything to ensure their well-being. But unfortunately, not everyone sees dogs as the awesome animals that they are. SCAR (Southern Cross Animal Rescue) located in Laurel, Mississippi knows this all too well. While SCAR has seen hundreds of animals come and go, they were recently faced with a particularly gut-wrenching situation.
Way to go, Lana! As SCAR points out, Lana’s positive recovery wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for dedicated supporters and of course, her foster home. Fostering shelter animals is truly one of the best ways to combat the pet overpopulation crisis. To find out more about how you can become involved, click here. If you’re not able to foster right now, consider volunteering. Every little bit counts!
