Using words, plenty of research, the occasional dose of sarcasm, and a whole lot of love for the planet, I aim to change the world for the better by sharing information and sparking discussions about some of Earth's most pressing issues. A graduate of Baruch College with a B.A. in Journalism and Psychology, I combine my knowledge of human behavior with my love for writing to help people realize the incredible power we all have to leave this Earth a little better than when we arrived. When I'm not writing, I'm exploring nature, finding (and eating) the best plant-based food New York has to offer, and going to as many concerts as I possibly can. Here, at One Green Planet, we think adoption can be a two-way street. While the word adoption usually conjures images of someone going to a shelter and picking out a new furry companion, every once in a while it’s the other way around. Friendly stray dogs will become enamored with a passerby and begin following them around wherever they go and even wild animals, like baby elephants, have made best friends with human caretakers.
Although stray cats tend to keep to themselves most of the time, every once in a while there will be one who clearly wants a human companion. Life on the streets can be rough for any stray animal. They never know when their next meal will be, they always have to be on alert, and they can get themselves in some pretty sticky situations. With all of these difficulties, it’s no surprise that some stray animals will seek out the love of a passerby.
The idea of taking in a pup or cat from the street may not seem as ideal picking up a pristine pooch or kitty from a pet shop, which is why this story is as important as it is sweet. The fact that this Imgur user was able to open his heart to a stray kitty and furthermore show the world that she is as loving and caring as any other cat, is eye-opening. Cats and dogs are not objects, they are living beings that simply want a warm place to lay their head and sometimes, a little companionship. There is no reason to buy from a pet shop when there are millions of sweet animals on the street who would love a home. We wish this duo nothing but the best!

One was rescued from a ditch in the country, some from animal control, some from rescues and other places. EVERY cat and dog has their OWN personality. I even have my own personal CLOWN cat. He makes me laugh all the time!!!! HE IS a clown!!!!!
that is the only kind of cat I ever had was one I found or someone else found and I took them in.I would NEVER buy a pet.
