When Dreadlock found his way to the Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand at the age of six, he had terrible skin problems and patchy, matted fur (hence his name). Four years later, Dreadlock was still at the shelter. He’d grown to be an older dog in that time and just didn’t get worked up over much. He was living the quiet life.

Which is why shelter workers were so surprised when they got this reaction from him after they told him he’d finally found a forever home – he could barely contain himself!

Bravo to his new pet parents for choosing a senior dog to add to their family. With people usually clamoring for puppies to adopt, choosing a senior pet is a wonderful idea if you want to give a dog a chance who has a little patina to them.
