Something Blue [Vegan]

  • 1 oz. (30 ml) coconut rum
  • 3/4 oz. (25 ml) vanilla vodka
  • 1 1/2 oz. (45 ml)  pineapple juice
  • 2 teaspoon (10 ml) Amaretto
  • 1/2 oz. (15 ml) lime juice
  • a float (approx. 2 teaspoons (10 ml)) of blue Curaçao
  • pineapple wedges, to garnish


  1. Add the ingredients, apart from the blue Curaçao, to a cocktail shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously. Pour into an ice-filled hurricane glass, or similar.
  2. Pour 2 teaspoons (10 ml) blue Curaçao down the inside of the glass. The Curaçao will sink, creating the layered effect.
  3. Garnish with pineapple wedges and serve at once.
