Guava Barbecue Sauce [Vegan]
- 1/2 cup of guava paste
- 1 cup of crushed tomato
- 1/2 onion
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 3 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- Cut the onion and garlic very fine. Heat a pot with oil and lightly fry until the onion is translucent. Add the soy sauce, the vinegar and the crushed tomato, cook for several minutes while stirring.
- Incorporate the guava paste by mixing it with a fork. Cook the sauce over medium-low heat for 15 minutes until the guava paste melts and a fully combined mixture remains. You can add a little water if the texture seems too thick.
