Target Launches Plant-Based Food Line

Good & Gather plant-based

On May 11, Target announced the launch of a new plant-based food line under their Good & Gather brand, which began in 2019. Good & Gather Plant Based, as they call the new line, will feature foods such as non-dairy chocolate-flavored mousse dip, crispy chick’n tenders, and buffalo-style cauliflower wings. There will be over 30 products for all meals of the day.

Most products will be priced under $5 with a money-back guarantee. Some Good & Gather Plant Based options are already available in stores and Target will continue to add new products through Fall.

Rick Gomez, executive vice president and chief food and beverage officer at Target, commented, “Guest demand for plant-based offerings is incredibly high and continues to grow. By adding Good & Gather Plant Based to our curated assortment of plant-based offerings, we’re giving guests more of what they want and making it easy for them to discover the joy of food every day.”

Other companies have also released their own plant-based lines or products recently. Tyson, Walmart, Nathan’s,  StarbucksCarl’s Jr.,  Pizza Hut, and KFC are a few.
