Hope For Paws Rescue received an urgent call about a sick dog living in a trash pile. Too weak to find help, this poor girl, now named Miley, was all alone without access to clean water or proper nutrition. Upon first sight, it was obvious that she already had a bad case of mange, and they needed to get her out of there. The rescue later found out that she had been surviving in this trash pile for months on end.

When they approached Miley, she was so desperate for help that she let her rescuers come straight up to her. She was so cooperative and let the rescue team lead her back to safety.
At the veterinary care center, it was discovered that she was suffering from mange, parasites, malnutrition, and bacterial infections. The veterinarians gave Miley a much-needed medical bath and treatment for her wounds.
With the proper medical attention and lots of TLC, Miley began to open up to her rescuers and even took another rescue dog under her wing.
Miley has since been adopted into her forever home!
“Guess who checked in to say “hello”? Our beautiful snow angel, Miley, continues to thrive! Her mom and dad never missed a single walk with her during the pandemic. They go above and beyond to keep her safe and healthy,” said Hope For Paws in an update.
Unfortunately, It is not uncommon to find abandoned dogs in public spaces. For these innocent animals, being left to survive on their own is terrifying. Thanks to animal rescue organizations like Hope For Paws, so many neglected and abandoned animals can be rescued and find their forever homes!
“So many animals are abandoned these days and we get more and more calls for help with these animals. The cost of veterinary care has gone up significantly, and in order for us to help everybody, we need YOUR Support in any way you can,” says Hope For Paws.
