Jeta the bear was forced to endure a cruel fate for fifteen years of her life. Used as a selfie prop, she was paraded around tourist areas in Albania with a rope pulling at a ring pierced through her sensitive nose. She was miserable, and her sad eyes spoke of the pain and sadness she experienced.

Thankfully, the international animal welfare group, FOUR PAWS stepped in to save her. As the above video shows, Jeta is now living her life without pain and exploitation at the Dancing Bears Park Belitsa in Bulgaria, and for the first time, she can roam freely through natural land. Her nose ring and rope are becoming a distant memory, and this beautiful bear hardly looks anything like her past self.

Although Jeta is a remarkable success stories, there are still around 50 bears being used as tourist attractions and photo props in Albania. To help speak out for them and lead them to a sanctuary like Jeta’s, you can sign the petition made by FOUR PAWS to help free these innocent animals.
