This Heroic Team Just Rescued 9 Animals From an Amusement Park in War-Torn Aleppo

War is hell on earth for all living beings, both humans and animals. The ongoing war in Syria has claimed countless lives and devastated families. It is in times of utmost tragedy that the true natures of people are revealed, and thankfully for the animals of Syria, there are courageous and selfless people who have not forgotten about them and are risking their own lives to save theirs.

One of these amazing organizations saving the animals in war-torn Syria is the international animal welfare group, FOUR PAWS.

The video below features their heroic rescue team, led by mission leader Amir Khalil, as they rescued nine animals, including tigers, lions, bears, and hyenas, from horrific conditions in an old amusement park facility in Aleppo.

The animals suffer from many ailments and injuries, as is evident in this picture. All animals rescued are receiving veterinary care and are in a shelter in Bursa, Turkey.

This is one of the two tigers rescued during this heroic mission.
