It’s no secret that Pit Bulls have more than a few negative stereotypes pinned on them. While the Pit Bull breed has become deeply intertwined with the idea of aggression and danger, any one who has been near one of these loyal, gentle, and loving dogs, knows otherwise. Due to the misconceptions about this breed, many Pit Bulls have a very difficult time getting adopted, and are often left to fend for themselves on the street, along with the millions of other homeless animals.
This was the case for Lois and Clark, two Pit Bulls who were living in a truck yard for six months, surviving off just a bit of food that kind members in the local community provided to them. Knowing that this was not a sustainable way to care for these dogs, Hope for Paws, the non-profit animal rescue organization, was eventually contacted to come and help.
After coaxing them out from under the trucks with loving coos, Hope for Paws employees and volunteers sat with the dogs, petting them and making sure that they knew they were in safe hands. Despite being visibly shaken at first, the pups looked much calmer once at the hospital. Now all that’s left to do is to find these adorable guys a forever home!
