opinions on vegans doing taxidermy/bone collecting?

The user explained in the post that a few months ago they went vegan and they are very passionate about taxidermy and bone collecting.
“I very obviously dont kill any individual. I taxidermy birds i find on the side of the road, and clean up bones i find on fields and in forests. So I dont see how I could possibly cause any harm if I just take what is already there.”
The user explained that people have often been weirded out and ask how they could be both vegan and do taxidermy. They turned to the Reddit forum to ask for people’s opinions on this. The comments were split.
“I personally don’t see any harm what you are doing. You are bringing beauty back to the poor soul that lost its life for whatever reason and it was no fault of your own . I live on 5 acres and I also collect bones and fossils I find,” one user wrote.
Other users pointed out that as long as the person is not taking a food source away from scavengers, it shouldn’t be an issue.
“The main problem I would have with removing an entire body of a killed animal is that you’d be taking away a food source from scavenging animals.” another wrote.
The poster replied saying that they always place the carass back in the wild so that other animals can eat the meat.
“Do what brings you joy. You are eating in a conscious way, and that is what matters. No one can live a perfectly vegan life. It’s like being a saint. We all are doing our best,” another added.
