Watch the Beautiful Recovery of a Mama Cow and Baby Who Were in Desperate Need of Help (VIDEO)

Animal Aid Unlimited came across a wounded cow and her baby on the streets of India. They both looked rough and completely drained of energy. It wasn’t a pretty sight.

The mother had a deep gash in her armpit and her baby had a gash in her neck from a rope that had been tied far too tight. Immediately upon rescue, the team went to work helping these cows. They cleaned both of their wounds and wrapped them up nice and tight. Post-cleaning, they took some well-deserved rest to regain their energy and to let their bodies begin to heal.

After two months of care, Bee and Honey, as came to be named, were better than ever, those days of pain and suffering long behind them. It’s easy to see, through relaxation and feeding time, that this little family loves one another. Cows are too often treated as if they have no thoughts or feelings, but Bee and Honey are a beautiful reminder that not only do they have thoughts and feelings but that they’re creatures deserving of our care and respect.
